We will be sharing knowledge and experiences among disaster management experts from different countries across the globe and finally recommend rectification plan if there are any gaps and also recommend risk reduction strategy for safety and security for future disasters. The majority of the participants will be health professionals such doctors, emergency physicians, primary care physicians, public health professionals, nurses, paramedics, medical students, social workers, volunteers, managers, policy makers etc.

As you know, many disaster response activities, (particularly emergency medical response) by different organizations/institutions are almost over now. However, many activities are still on the way as the part of health sector response to the earthquake disaster that occurred on April 25, 2015 and May 12, 2015. In this juncture, people might have few questions regarding the activities of health sector response that needs to be addressed honestly by reviewing ongoing activities in order to answer to the following questions:
  • Are we doing right? Who are doing what, after disaster?
  • Is there good coordination between various organizations?
  • Is there clear guidelines / protocols?
